What is the Ultimate Tea Diet?
The Ultimate Tea Diet created by Mark Ukra claims that by drinking tea it can help with weight loss. He believes that there are three 3 key factors in which tea can help with weight loss which include
- Caffeine as a stimulant
- L-theanine an amino acid acts as a suppressant
- EGCG which increases fat burning
Recommended Teas
The teas that he recommends you to drink include oolong, green, black or white tea.
Though not recommended by Mark Ukra, researchers at an Australian University discovered that a tea called Spearole Tea contains fat burning properties and reduce the risk of cardiovascular diseases. Test were conducted on some overweight mice which was fed a diet of high sugar and fats. The tea was introduce into their diet a few weeks later and researchers found that the rats blood pressure were lower and weigh less even on the same high fat/sugar diet.
How it Works?
The way his diet works is he encourages the dieter to drink tea all day and to eat a balance diet mixed with protein, carbohydrates and fats. Some of the foods he recommends include fruit, vegetable, lean meat, chicken, fish and tofu. Also importantly he said you should avoid drinking coffee.
Cardiovascular exercise (running/swimming) and weight training is recommended for both weight loss and for general health.
Conclusion
The Ultimate Tea Diet will help with weight loss due its healthy meal plans and exercise recommendations however the aspects of drinking tea is debatable.
